Bologna unveils its new home kit
It will be the first one worn in the Champions League
May 17th, 2024
The triumphant season of Thiago Motta's Bologna, the absolute revelation of the Serie A, will conclude in the final home match of the season against Juventus. The team will take the pitch with the new Home jersey created by Macron, which will be the first red and blue jersey worn in the Champions League. The European goal is at the center of the design of the 2024/25 Home kit, an act of love towards the club in anticipation of its return to international football. The jersey features the traditional four red and blue vertical stripes embellished with jacquard fabric, with a round neck and knitted edges on the sleeves. The back of the neck is personalized with the club's colors, with the years 1925-2025 and the Scudetto trophy in gold, and the number 100 in the middle to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first Scudetto won by Bologna in the 1924-25 season.
For the first time, Bologna has opted for the Eco Exalock jacquard fabric, characterized by a fine all-over weave and a different 'look and feel' compared to traditional technical-sport fabrics. A choice that combines functionality, elegant details, and references to the club's identity and history, while the phrase "WE ARE ONE" appears on the back, the club's identifying claim. The jersey features yellow details, a color used in Bologna's recent participation in the UEFA Cup. On the back bottom, there is an internal elastic tape with the repeated dates 1925-2025 in red, interspersed with the Scudetto trophy. A jersey that pays tribute to the past while also looking towards the future, which has never been clearer.
