Tradition Takes Center Stage on Borussia Dortmund's 2024/25 Home Jersey A talisman for the Champions League final

This is a crucial moment for the season and the history of Borussia Dortmund. The Champions League final against a Real Madrid in search of their fifteenth title is approaching. To ease the anticipation of the sporting event, BVB is releasing the new home jersey for the 2024/25 season. The club's colors, yellow and black, are featured prominently in a design that blends tradition and future with an elegant pinstripe front panel. The newly unveiled jersey by the Schwarzgelben is one to be worn for great occasions. In fact, it will not only be worn for the Champions League final, but it will also be the last for club legend Marco Reus, who is nearing his departure. The official debut will be this Saturday in the home match against Darmstadt 98, the last day of the Bundesliga, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at 3:30 PM.

One of the most interesting features of the shirt is the sleeves, in an all-black color. The last time such a feature appeared on the Schwarzgelben's jersey was in the 2007/08 season - when the club was still sponsored by Nike - although they came very close in the 2015/16 season. Additionally, the new Borussia Dortmund jersey joins the list of jerseys featuring a backneck inscription ("Borussia united"), a trending feature in recent releases among club and national teams. Yesterday, PUMA released Manchester City's 2024/25 home jersey, and today Borussia Dortmund's, suggesting that this year, for the initial jerseys, the brand might focus on backneck and collar and sleeve trim details, preserving a minimal and clean style for the front panel of the jerseys. Thus, the away and third jerseys will be the ones tasked with stunning designs.
