The new Palace collection with Umbro
The collaboration between football and rave culture continues for the brand's centenary
March 5th, 2024
The celebrations for the Centenary of the founding of Umbro continue, this time together with the long-time friends of Palace. Inspired by the deep love of the London skateboarding brand for football, British subcultures, and the classic training clothing for which Umbro has become a cult. The brand founded in Wilmslow by the Humphreys brothers has been able to dress both athletes and ravers and concertgoers. It is therefore no coincidence that the classic football kit is at the center of the collection, available in three models: a goalkeeper jersey and shorts with a green graphic reminiscent of the Dreamscapes rave flyers framed by black panels, an away jersey and shorts in blue with clouds, also featuring the iconic Dreamscape face, and a white home jersey with blue shorts.
All three kits feature the number 7, the Palace and Umbro logos, and the emblems that accompany the collaboration. In addition, this new and expanded collection features a selection of training jackets and pants, in blue, black, or white, with the logos and emblems of both brands, as well as a warm-up crewneck in black, blue, and gray, with the Umbro, Palace, and "Palio" logos. Completing the range are 6-panel caps, beanies, and socks with the Palace & Umbro logo and matching colors. For the launch of the campaign, the faces of Alexandrino da Silva, Jiahe Zhang, Lloyd Hodgon, and Cece Asembo were chosen, photographed by London-based photographer and director Bafic.
