The adidas x Arsenal collection designed by Ian Wright

Arsenal and adidas have finally unveiled the long-awaited collection designed in collaboration with Ian Wright, the North London club's legend and testimonial. Ian Wright isn't only the second highest goalscorer in Gunners history, but also one of the most iconic footballers and an absolute fan favourite with Highbury fans thanks to his irresistible style on and off the pitch. The collection is a tribute to some of the best moments and memories from Wrighty's Arsenal FC past. It consists of unique hand-drawn illustrations and combines the best of adidas match preparation and travelling apparel.

The design features a handmade patchwork effect with a variety of squares inspired by Ian Wright's vibrant personality, his life story, his loved ones and a selection of the best memories from his career. The collection includes a short and long-sleeved jersey, a reversible anthem jacket and a shoulder bag. Commenting on the release, Ian Wright said: "As I turned 60 last month, I've been thinking a lot about what I've done so far, my time at Arsenal and the very special people I've worked with. I hope people feel the love in this collection as much as I do."

The collection will be worn by both the men's and women's teams from Saturday 2 December, when the men's team will warm up in the shirt and run out in the jacket ahead of their Premier League home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Arsenal Women will wear the line for the first time in their next WSL game against Chelsea, also at Emirates Stadium, on Sunday 10 December. Both teams will continue to wear the line for the rest of the season.
