The special jersey for the 125th anniversary of Ascoli Inspired by that of the 1955/1956 season

On Saturday, November 11, Ascoli will host Como at the Cino e Lillo De Luca stadium in an effort to close the points gap that separates the team from the playoff zone and to avoid a third consecutive defeat, as well as to prevent being caught by Andrea Pirlo's Sampdoria, which appears to be showing signs of a timid recovery after a forgettable start. The team coached by Roberto Breda will be particularly motivated as they will take to the field wearing a special kit inspired by the one used during the 1955/1956 season to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the club. Why does the new special kit draw inspiration from that particular season? The 1955/1956 season symbolizes a rebirth for Ascoli. In the previous season, the club had reached its lowest point in history by being relegated to the regional promotion league. However, the following year, it started fresh thanks to the financial intervention of Cino Del Luca, who, by contributing a one-million-lire check, acquired the club and renamed it Del Duca Ascoli. The year after that, they managed to climb to the fourth division.

The special kit pays tribute to this history by closely simulating the look of the jersey used in that glorious season. It is based on the Nike Trophy V template and features three basic aesthetic elements: two horizontal stripes positioned in the central area of the jersey, a special crest on the chest, and the founding year of the team, 1898, on the white collar. This is a limited edition that will be available for purchase starting from Monday, November 13, complete with a special box.
