Umbro becomes sponsor of a league played with AI
The British brand will produce the ball used by the 12 One Future Football teams

Umbro has a long history in the world of football. The English brand's style has been a symbol of the avant-garde in the past and seems to continue to be part of its DNA, judging by its new partnership with One Future Football. This is an artificial intelligence-based league for which Umbro produces the official ball used by the 12 teams and 264 virtual footballers.
The One Football League officially begins on Friday 20 October when the Neo Swerve Pro Ball makes its debut. The games will not be played in a stadium or in front of a real audience, the results will not be determined by the kicks of real footballers but will be generated by an algorithm that collects tens of thousands of data points and performs millions of calculations to determine the variability of each shot, each pass and the intensity of each foul. This data is then used to determine the league level and the winner of the One Football League. With this project, Umbro wanted to appeal to a new generation of fans and find a way to understand the game of football beyond the stadium experience.
