Sassuolo Home kit for the 2023/24 season
PUMA's chosen design pays homage to the historic Serie A debut season
August 2nd, 2023
Last night, PUMA and U.S. Sassuolo Calcio unveiled the new Home kit that will be worn by the women's, men's and youth teams in the 2023/24 football season with an event in the city. After the Spatialism-inspired Away jersey was unveiled last week, it is now the turn of the main jersey. It pays homage to their historic Serie A debut season in the 2013/14 championship, achieved thanks to a memorable promotion on 18 May 2013 with a 1-0 win over Livorno in the last minute of stoppage time on the final matchday that sealed first place in the championship. The biggest triumph in the club's history was celebrated in a stadium packed with Neroverde fans: Sassuolo was the smallest city with its 40,000 inhabitants to be promoted to the first division since the post-war era. With their Serie A debut, the Neroverdi moved to the stadium in Reggio Emilia from the 2013/14 season, the "Mapei Stadium - Città del Tricolore", the club's current home for the 11th consecutive season.
The new home jersey from PUMA features the iconic green and black vertical stripes, complemented by stylish elements such as the round neck collar and raglan sleeves, also in black. The jersey is completed by shorts and socks in black with stylish contrasting green details. The new regular fit jersey is made from 100% recycled polyester with advanced dryCELL thermoregulation technology from PUMA, enhanced moisture management that ensures the perfect body temperature. Combined with a seamless design, the jersey offers the latest fit for optimal performance and an ultra-light jacquard structure on the back for improved breathability during intense performance.
