The beautiful presentation of the new Olympique Marseille jerseys
Land and sea gods unveiled OM's Home and Away kits
July 4th, 2023
Last season Olympique de Marseille finished a good third, but the goal for 2023/24 will be to close the gap on Paris Saint-Germain's dominance, thanks to a mix of very interesting players who will wear a new jersey, presented a few hours ago in a very scenic event, which celebrates the relationship between OM and the city of Marseille.
A representative group of FC La Castellane players started a match inside a football pitch adorned with PUMA and club logos. As the game went on, and due to wear and tear, the ground began to show a design under the first surface, only revealing at the end that it was a representation of two gods, that of the Earth and the sea. The main detail of these mythological figures is that they were wearing the new home and away jerseys of Olympique de Marseille, ready for the 2023/24 season.
The layout of the two uniforms is simple, the Home shirt is white with a blue crew-neck and a light grey diagonal pattern inspired by the sandy beaches of Marseille. Embellishing the jersey is PUMA's gold logo, which echoes the colour of the 'Droit Au But' motto on OM's crest. If the home shirt is inspired by the Earth, the Away kit is a tribute to the Mediterranean Sea, with navy blue broken up by white details and curved lines replicating the sinuous movement of the waves.
