Mateo Retegui's goal in his first appearance for the national team was not enough, the Azzurri were beaten at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, a stadium where they had not played for ten years. Beyond the defeat, however, yesterday for the first time we saw on the pitch the long-awaited shirt designed by adidas and inspired by marble, a natural, geographical and cultural element that represents the country. A return of the brand with the three stripes as technical sponsor of the Azzurri after a four-year period during the 1970s. And the inspiration for the design of these jerseys comes precisely from that historical period, with a veined blue reminiscent of marble and with the three white stripes emphasising the line of the shoulders.
