Armani Exchange redeveloped 5 basketball courts in Milan
The idea behind the project is to make street sports accessible to all

Playgrounds are part of the Italian sports culture and are also an artistic heritage of the street world. Often, however, their state of degradation transforms them from a possible place of aggregation into forgotten and abandoned places. But there are those who believe in the power of sport as an engine of recovery, as a tool available to communities, such as Armani Exchange, which has just unveiled the five different playgrounds in Milan that have been redeveloped, starting from the one in Parco Sempione to Via San Paolino, Via Pitteri, inside the Vincenzo Muccioli and Alberto Moravia gardens. A project that further testifies to Giorgio Armani's link with basketball and is part of the broader dialogue that the designer has with the city of Milan.
The idea behind the project is clear: to make street sports, such as basketball, playable, fun and accessible to all, by renovating the 'neighbourhood courts' so that they once again become cross-cultural meeting places for the inhabitants.
