The best goalkeeper jerseys of the season are those of Vasco Da Gama
Signed by Kappa and dedicated to their home stadium São Januário
September 8th, 2022
It is rare nowadays to see a brand make an extremely distinctive goalkeeper jersey with textures, designs or patterns that are not fluorescent or basic colours. Despite this trend whereby technical sponsors never pay too much attention to the extreme defender, the most important role in football, this week Kappa presented the new goalkeeper jerseys of Vasco Da Gama, the Rio De Janeiro club to which it is linked since 2020. Two shirts, one garnet and the other black, that put the goalkeeper back in the centre of attention, with a jacquard pattern inspired by the tiles of São Januário, the home of the Brazilian club. Further embellishing them are the coordinates of the stadium, another reference to the structure that has borne the name of the football club since 1898 and that for obvious reasons is inextricably linked to the club.
Two jerseys that will not only be used by the goalkeepers, but a third version in white has been created that will be used by the movement players. It will be used as the third jersey and the only difference with the other two is the addition of the collar, the star feature of this season. We have seen it in fact in many jerseys, especially in those made by adidas for Manchester or for Arsenal but also the Turin brand has not been outdone, including it in those of Venezia, three of the best jerseys of the season.
