Arsenal's new pre-match shirt is the coolest thing you'll see today
Inspired by Jamaica with an all-over print

We've spoken several times recently about the boom in pre-match and training jerseys, which have become a real trend during 2018, a jersey that has nothing to do with the traditional club jersey and the latest release from Arsenal and adidas proves it. Just this morning the Gunners unveiled their new pre-match jersey, which like the three stripes clubs will have an all-over geometric print but in green, gold and black like the colours of the Jamaican flag. The shirt in fact pays homage to those who call both north London and the Caribbean island state home.
However, despite the beauty and unique colours of this jersey, it is surprising that adidas have chosen to reserve the same pattern for all the top clubs (Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester United), echoing the old geometric designs with which the German brand made history in the 1990s. An opposite choice to that made by the main competitor, Nike, who instead designed a different jersey for each club, proving once again how pre-match jerseys are becoming a very important asset of club merchandising.
