Arsenal's new away shirt signed adidas for the 2022/23 season
Gunners return to black

Despite last season not going as hoped, next season for Arsenal, according to the two kits released by adidas football, will be a real revolution, at least in terms of style. After the arrival of the collar in the first shirt, the German brand and the Gunners have created an all-black away kit with a geometric pattern inspired by the signs that the fans cross when they go to the Emirates Stadium during matches. Like last year, however, the renowned cannon will return on the away kit and, like all the other logos on the shirt, it will be bronze in colour.
Commenting on the new kit, Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas, said: "We thought of including different parts of the Emirates Stadium in this away shirt, so that fans can take a piece of home with them, even when they travel to support the team."
The first is the new logo used on the left hand side, with the cannon returning to an Arsenal kit after its last appearance last year and its continuous use on away shirts from 1976 until the late 1980s. The second is that there will be no writing on the inside of the shirt compared to previous years, with the design remaining the only reference to the city.
