The UEFA Super Cup will also change formula from 2024

The Champions League will not be the only competition to be overhauled as of 2024, but UEFA is apparently about to launch a series of initiatives that will permanently change the UEFA Super Cup as we know it. Adjustments and initiatives that are due to the creation of the new third competition, the Conference League, won by Mourinho's Roma just under a month ago. The new competition has in fact changed the balance and according to the latest rumours, it seems that the winner of this competition will also have the chance to aspire to the trophy that until now has been up for grabs for the winning selections of the Champions and Europa League. In the new format then, the winner of the Conference will challenge the winner of the Europa League and then whoever wins this match will face the Champions League holders.

A new format that will allow UEFA to play more and more matches, which will mean more and more revenue for football clubs. A formula that is not yet official, however, the rumours come from the call for UEFA club competition TV rights 2024-2027, already launched in England and France. It seems certain, however, that this reform will happen, after the Champions League, the new brand identity, UEFA changes again.
