South Africa's jersey will also be designed by fans

More and more teams, including clubs and national teams, have decided to have fans, budding designers, or simple fans design and subsequently choose the jersey they will wear next season. The latest to follow this trend is the South African national team, which together with technical sponsor Le Coq Sportif recently opened the competition that will lead to electing the future Bafana Bafana jersey for 2023.

The deadline to submit your creation is August 31, after which voting will begin. Obviously, the submitted kits will have to take into account the guiding rules imposed by FIFA on national federations while no particular guidance has come from the South African one to date. The chosen jersey will thus join a long line of iconic Bafana Bafana jerseys, which from Kappa, adidas, Nike, Puma and now Le Coq Sportif, have lit up international competitions with their bright colors and futuristic templates.
