FIFA will change its name

After the rumours of the last months, today the official confirmation has arrived, the most sold football video game in the world, FIFA, will change its name from next year. As Konami did a year ago with PES, which became eFootball, after 30 years EA Sports is preparing for a historic change, the most popular name for the new project is EA Sports Football Club (or EA Sports FC). The reason for the divorce is strictly financial, FIFA in fact asked for a billion dollars to continue to use the name and logo, a request immediately returned to sender by EA Sports that is not willing to renew the partnership at these figures. 

At the level of rights, however, nothing will change, EA Sports will still maintain the exclusive agreements of the leagues currently in the game, to change will really only the name of the game. FIFA 22, however, may not be the last title with this name, according to several rumors in the short may also arrive a new version with this name dedicated to the World Cup in Qatar in December.
