Camp Nou will change its name
After the agreement with Spotify next year, Barcelona will add the company's name to that of its historic stadium

The four-year partnership between Barcelona and Spotify will officially begin next July and will bring significant changes to the tradition of the Blaugrana club. Starting with the stadium, the famous Camp Nou, which will be preceded by the name of the online streaming giant becoming Spotify Camp Nou. It's certainly nothing new that a team's stadium changes name as a result of a sponsorship, but for Barcelona, a club that has always put tradition and identity first, it's a radical change.
The agreement with Barcelona is the most expensive ever signed by Spotify - rumored to be around 280 mln - but it will help the Swedish company to enter in style the football market, formed largely by a young audience that therefore represents a perfect commercial target. Spotify's Chief Freemium Business Officer, Alex Norström, confirms that the company's aim "is to connect fans with artists of all kinds - be they singers, musicians or athletes. And Barcelona fans and music lovers on Spotify will come together to form a massive global connected community that unites the worlds of music and soccer."
