Pepperoni Seoul x Spunky second drop
From Checkerboard to Milk Cow inspired by Ben & Jerry's
November 19th, 2021
After the first jersey arrived this summer, Pepperoni Seoul and Spunky have collaborated again, releasing a second jersey, the "Chunky Spunky". After the "Checkerboard" pattern, protagonist in the first jersey, this time the two South Korean companies have used the "Milk Cow" fantasy, taking inspiration from the famous American company specialised in the production of ice creams, Ben & Jerry's. The jersey in particular picks up on the design already proposed by Nike with Ben & Jerry's for the SB Dunk Low, inspired by the iconic jars of ice cream, specifically the "Chunky Monkey" flavour. From the cans to the Dunk Low, the jersey also features the cow spot pattern accompanied by the Pepperoni and Spunky logos, while the shoulders feature 51, Spunky's symbolic and identifying number.
A collaboration that shows how Korean street culture was one of the first to rediscover the appeal of the football shirt, relaunching it as a fashion item. One of the many demonstrations of this is this new jersey which takes its inspiration from one of the most unexpected collaborations of recent years. The jersey will be available with both short and long sleeves, considered at least in football a symbol and representation of that 90s aesthetic always dear to every football jersey fan.
