C.P. Company and adidas create a mural with Luke Shaw

Ahead of the upcoming collaboration to celebrate C.P. Company's 50th anniversary, adidas spezial and the Italian brand founded by Massimo Osti have created a huge mural of Luke Shaw in Darwen, Lancashire. The Manchester United full-back is wearing the Haslingden jacket, one of the items of the capsule collection that will be released soon. The collaboration between C.P. Company and adidas Spezial is just the beginning, in the coming months other initiatives created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian brand will be revealed. The choice of the city is no coincidence: Darwen is not only the city that gave birth to professional football on a global level in 1870, it is also the birthplace of Gary Aspden, designer and curator of adidas Spezial.

The mural was created by Peter Barber, an artist who is not new to initiatives of this kind, in the past he has also collaborated with Tottenham and other Premier League teams creating artwork similar to this. The initiative is also linked to Nightsafe, a not-for-profit organisation which, during the exhibition where the items will be unveiled, will raise funds for the homeless in an area like Darwen which is economically disadvantaged.
