Why UEFA banned Inter's away shirt?
After Ajax, it was the turn of the Nerazzurri, who played in Ukraine yesterday without the snake

In the Youth League match between Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter, we had the first sign, which was confirmed last night at the Olympic Stadium in Ukraine. The snake on the away shirt of the Nerazzurri is there but not visible, Nike has left it in light grey. The UEFA rules are clear: it is forbidden to wear a uniform with pictorial motifs, i.e. images, illustrations or symbols. Even if these symbols are express references to the club or the city, this decision demonstrates once again the urgency to update some stylistic rules that are now obsolete and that limit the work of designers and clubs done during the year.
The exact same rule a few weeks ago had forced to change one of the best jerseys of this year not only in terms of style but also of sales, the third of Ajax dedicated to Bob Marley. In that case, UEFA appealed to paragraph 19.1 of the European regulation, which prohibits expressions other than the club's and sponsors' logos, as the three birds were present in the collar. A choice that, as always, gives pause for thought, since these pictorial motifs in question in no way harm the identity and integrity of UEFA first and then of the club.
