It's called Nike Flight Serie A and will be used during the 2021-2022 season on the pitches of Serie A TIM, Coppa Italia, Italian Super Cup and Primavera TIM competitions. The new Nike Flight Serie A ball stands out for its bold graphics - completely opposite to last year's - designed around the ball and not embedded in the panels. The base of the light blue graphics echoes the colours of the national league logo. While the inspiration for the graphics is taken from the idea of the "Air Mail" to represent speed and accuracy of delivery. The panels designed for this season will help improve visual perception by allowing players to read the pace and rotation of the ball, in order to react more quickly.
Unlike the design, the technology will not change, with the American brand relying heavily on AerowSculpt to further optimise aerodynamic stability, guaranteeing a 30% more precise trajectory. And as has been the case since 2014, the new ball will feature Nike ACC 3D ink, created to ensure optimal grip in wet and dry conditions. The new ball will make its debut on the first day of the season on 22 August.
