The two new yellow jerseys of Le Coq Sportif for the Tour De France
From the triskelion to the Arc de Triomphe, the two chosen designs have a very special meaning
June 25th, 2021
Le Coq Sportif has officially unveiled the new two yellow jerseys for the Tour De France 2021, which will take place from 26 June to 18 July. The most important cycling event of the year is ready to go, with cyclists competing over 21 different stages. All of them will be competing for the coveted yellow jersey, which this year has been produced in two different designs, unlike last year's three, both of which are highly sought-after and have a very important meaning. The first yellow jersey, embellished with the triskelion, symbol of Brittany, represents the three elements, Water, Earth and Fire and will be worn in the Breton stages. The second yellow jersey recounts and represents the hottest part of the race, the grand finale. The road from the Champs-Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe has always represented the most intense moment, the one where every fraction of time lost can be fatal. And that is precisely why the architecture of Paris is on the second jersey, the one that will be given to the final winner. The second design will also appear on the green jersey and the white jersey.
But that's not all: to strengthen the link with the Tour de France, the french brand is offering four different stories: Grand Départ 2021 Bretagne, Tour de France, Histoire de la Grande Boucle and Bernard Hinault Le Blaireau, all told in dedicated capsules. Each story is complemented by two lifestyle t-shirts that can be used in everyday life.
