The new Team First FC jerseys
A lookbook that tells the tradition and innovation of South Korean culture
May 14th, 2021
The fame of Team First - the collective of designers, actors, singers, DJs, photographers and stylists who have formed an amateur football team and which tells the story of South Korean football culture - extends from the land of the Rising Sun to Italy. After having told the pandemic in football in South Korea with an incredible reportage, Team First Football Club have unveiled the new kits of the 2021 season through a lookbook set in a traditional Korean village for the home shirt and in the Seoul Botanic Park - designed by the architecture studio SAMOO - for the away shirt.
The Nike jerseys are both made with Vaporknit technology and both have a very simple design. The home kit - in total blue - has been transported to a characteristic South Korean village, where the chosen color creates a dystopian effect with all the architectural elements of the place. The blue, in fact, clearly stands out from the medieval background in which it was exhibited for the shooting.
Different situation for the green-black away kit that blends perfectly with all the natural species present in one of the most avant-garde buildings in the South Korean capital. The link with the natural aspect and the protection of the environment is immediate and, while with the first jersey the historical nuance of the context is more evident, with the second jersey one immediately perceives modernity, future and symbiosis between man and nature.
