The new Patta x Diadora N9000 dedicated to Bobo Vieri
The brands rework a great classic of the 90s
April 30th, 2021
After the rework in September 2014, Patta and Diadora join forces for the fifth time and revive an iconic model like the N9000. The new Patta x Diadora N9000 Game On - available starting Friday 30 April - seems to have been conceived for the great bomber: the latest re-work represented a tribute to a unique striker like Marco Van Basten, while the next release will be dedicated to another great number 9 like Christian Vieri. Once again the football-fashion union unites two brands that have often taken inspiration from sport for their streetwear items.
On the heel, the "9" recalls the great Bobo, a striker and author of 272 goals in 552 games played. In all the teams he has played and scored for (Torino, Pisa, Ravenna, Venezia, Atalanta, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Lazio, AC Milan, Monaco and Fiorentina) Vieri has always dressed in #9 and Patta and Diadora ride the wave of the great center forward.
First launched in 1990, the N9000 was designed specifically for runners, with the VIBRASSORB cushioning system and EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, a polyethylene-based plastic material) support that make these running shoes special. But the shoe was not only designed for runners: Baggio, Van Basten and several Azzurri players involved in the Italia90 World Cup used these shoes during training. The new version has an upper composed of Reverse Nubuck Suede, premium leather and breathable nylon mesh.
