NBA and nana-nana present a sustainable capsule collection
The "HOOP PVC" bags in Lakers, Nets, Celtics, Heat, Warriors and Bulls versions
March 30th, 2021
The NBA continues to find partners in the fashion world and in recent days has launched a new collection with nana-nana, a brand with operational bases in Tokyo and Los Angeles specializing in the reuse of materials. The collaboration produced 3 types of bags - A4, A5 and Circular Bags - with the logos of 6 NBA teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat. The NBA's focus on sensitive issues such as climate change and plastic recycling is central to the league's marketing strategies and was one of the reasons that prompted Adam Silver to link the National Basketball Association name to that of nana-nana.
HOOPS PVC bags are made with recycled plastic, exploited in different ways. Some models are made of transparent PVC, while others recall the design of the basketball ball and are made of leather. On each item there is the logo of the brand and the logo of the team or the league, in order to make the project also visually fascinating. Chromatically, however, the different shades recall the color of the franchises to which the bags are dedicated.
