Arsène Wenger will recounte the Arsenal of Invincibles
A very cinematografic documentary that will release on 2022
October 12th, 2020
In the last two years many successful sports documentaries have come out: from Amazon's All or Nothing series to The Last Dance, passing through Sunderland Till' I Die and Take us Home. In 2022, Arsène Wenger: Invicible, a documentary filmed by Gabriel Clarke about The Invincibles, will also be added to these titles. The project was commissioned by Canal Plus and will be produced by Noah Media Group in collaboration with Federation Entertainment, the production company French, and needless to say, the protagonist will be the former Arsenal manager French, currently responsible for the development of world football for FIFA. The voice of Wenger himself will tell the story of the documentary.
Director Clarke - an expert in sports documentaries - will tell about Arsenal's 0-defeat season by focusing on Wenger's figure, but also drawing on the testimonies and interviews of other Gunners and world football stars - footballers, managers, journalists. The authors' intent is to tell this story following a more cinematic track, making Arséne Wenger: Invicible an alternative sports documentary. The production will be both a storytelling of Arsenal's historic feat - still the only club to have achieved this in the Premier League - and a journey into Wenger's personality, trying to explain the man behind the manager and building a linear path from his arrival in London to achieving this epic result.
The production will be mixed French and English and shot in various parts of the world (England, France, Japan), with the inclusion in the documentary of some unreleased videos and with a scheduled release not only for television but also for cinema.
