PUMA and U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announced today a long-term sponsorship agreement. The German brand becomes the new official technical sponsorship of the men's, women's and youth teams of the neroverde Club. After 5 seasons, the Emilian club leaves Kappa and continues on its path of growth and development, adding another piece to an already solid and stable project.
The words of the interested parties arrived promptly. Javier Ortega, General Manager Southern Europe of PUMA, has placed the emphasis on the great planning of Sassuolo, one of the most important things at PUMA when you sit at the evaluation table:
"I am extremely happy with this new partnership with a club like Sassuolo. The club has a young squad with established champions and many promising talents, plays modern football and has a strong identity. It is among the funniest Italian teams to follow as well as to have one of the most interesting and sustainable club projects in Serie A. We are really looking forward to working with them".
Sassuolo, after Umbro, Ennerre, ABM, Erreà, Uhlsport, Sportika, Hummel, Virma and Kappa, will wear PUMA for the first time in its centenary history. Speaking of centenary history, the first project the Germans worked on is the centenary jersey which falls in 2021. The same enthusiasm also shared by Giovanni Carnevali, CEO of US Sassuolo Calcio:
"We are thrilled and look forward to collaborating with PUMA, one of the world's leading sport brands. It is with great pride that our company marries PUMA, with the clear goal of making it even more visible, even at international, a club which, thanks to a strong ownership belonging to the MAPEI group and a constantly growing sports project, is a reality that is becoming more and more consolidated in the football scene".
US Sassuolo Calcio joins PUMA's growing portfolio of partner clubs including AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Valencia CF.
