The capsule collection of Mike Tyson and Chinatown Market
The project will also be accompanied by a mini documentary that will tell the creative process
June 25th, 2020
Chinatown Market and Mike Tyson presented the first images of the two-way collaboration that involved them: it is a project that will include two capsule collections consisting of sweatshirts, T-shirts and shorts which will be accompanied by a short documentary divided into five parts that will show the ex boxer visit the streetwear brand office and work with their creative team.
It is not the first time that Iron Mike has lent his face for a streetwear campaign: in fact already in 2007 his tattooed face - photographed by Kenneth Cappello - had ended up on a poster of the Supreme tee, a shirt that on resell sites is currently available for purchase at about 300 Euros.
"I am excited to be partnering with the Chinatown Market streetwear brand and I am excited to show fans what we have done together in terms of both content and product" said Tyson about the project.
The five episodes of the mini-documentary will be released starting June 27, with the release of the first capsule collection on July 3 and the second coming in late July. Item prices range between $ 40 USD and $ 90 and will be available through the Chinatown Market webstore. Part of the proceeds from the sales will go to the Tyson Cares Foundation, which provides primary aid to homeless children such as health care, school care and hospitalization.
