The new Olympique de Marseille kits
PUMA presents the new shirts inspired by the style of the Phocean City
June 15th, 2020
PUMA Football and Olympique Marseille have revealed new kits for the 2020/21 season. After ending the season suspended due to the coronavirus in second place, Marseille will return to the title title next year and will do so in its usual style. The campaign created with PUMA for the launch of the new uniforms, in fact, uses "Le cOMbat Continue" as a slogan to give charge to a team that is 12 points away from the PSG but at the same time is positively reinventing its football project and stylistic.
The design for the home version chosen by PUMA and Dimitri Payet's team refers directly to the architecture of the Phocean City, taking up that taste of the twentieth century that makes one of the most important centers in France so iconic. The shirt incorporates distinctive lines that symbolize the key structures and buildings throughout the city. While the home shirt dusts off the Provencal architectural culture, the away shirt goes into the detail of the city and is inspired by the unmistakable and multicultural neighborhoods of Marseille. The design takes up all different houses, just to want to symbolize the diversity of cultures but at the same time the social unity that is created in the neighborhoods of the city. The peacot navy blue shirt features an azur blue collar and golden details, complete with the word "Olympique de Marseille" on the back of the collar.
