Calcetto Eleganza presents: recycling a football jersey

“Creativity has no boundaries” is more than a statement for Calcetto Eleganza. For this reason, the lockdown comes as an opportunity to dig even more into the blur of football and fashion, finding new inspiration in it through technology and sustainability.

After a chat with Alberto Panocchi, member of the collective and co-founder of APJP, the Milanbased collective came up with the idea of rethinking their home jersey focusing on recycling in every of its possible interpretations. “Rethinking our jersey was not enough, though. We wanted to spend some time together with our community during this difficult moment, sharing visions and ideas, and inspiring them to push their creativity further, too” says Calcetto Eleganza. Calcetto Eleganza launched a dedicated “Recycling a football Jersey” digital Workshop, choosing Zoom to do so.

The event took place on April 28 and involved 11 creatives from different countries such as US, France, Ireland, and Italy to share and bring their creativity on the table, from their homes. Two hours of creation in a one-of-a-kind, live-experience reunited and connected under the safe root of football.
