On the eve of the Nations League final four, which will take place next weekend in Porto and will see, amon the the participants, Switzerland, Holland, England and Portugal, of course, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has reproduced 3 vintage jerseys, launching the "Portugal Legends" collection. A tribute to as many historical years for the current European Champion team, such as those of 1959, 1966 and 1972.
The capsule has been created by discovering some of the rarest collection pieces, to faithfully replicate even the smallest details of color, fabric, and stitching. The jerseys were then worn by three champions of the national team such as Danilo Pereira of FC Porto, Bruno Fernandes of Sporting Lisbon and Bernardo Silva, champion of England with Manchester City and protagonist of a great season in the Premier League.

The long-sleeved shirt from 1959 is typical of the Seleção Das Quinas color, with a V-neck and the emblem of the five kingdoms conquered by Alfonso I in 1100. On the back is sewn the number 9.
The 1966 model is a tribute to the World Cup of that year, the first played by the Lusitanian team and concluded only in the semifinals against England. The shirt worn by Eusébio has long sleeves, with green collar and cuffs, a crest sewn on the chest and number 6 on the back.
The most recent is the 1972 shirt, white with short sleeves and the collar in which the colors of the Portuguese flag are inserted, a detail also used for the cuffs. This is a historical jersey because it was the one worn during the Brazilian Independence Cup, a South-American tournament organized for Brazil's 150-year independence from Portugal. The number 16 appears on the chest.
