How to buy the tickets for the 2019 UCL final
The final will take place at Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano, next Saturday 1 June
March 14th, 2019
Four English teams, one Italian, one Spanish, one Dutch, one Portuguese: the 2019 Champions League contenders are just eight, all with the same goal, that is to triumph in the Madrid final scheduled for next June 1st. As every year during this period, UEFA has put on sale thousands of tickets to fans around the world. In a few short steps we explain how to try to buy them.
The steps to follow
- The only website that you have to check is that of UEFA, the unique official channel for ticket sales: if you are not already register on it, you must do that here.
- Although the venue of the final, the new Wanda Metropolitano, can hold 63500 spectators, there are only 4000 available seats offered on sale, a number considerably lower than that of the last edition in which they were 6700. It is possible to choose tickets of four different categories (prices range from 70 to 600 euros, delivery included), for a maximum of two tickets for each request.
- You only have one week to send your request: the chance to ask for tickets starts on March 14th and ends on March 21th.
- The public sale through the UEFA portal is a real lottery, as the requests usually exceed the availability by at least ten times. You will receive an answer via email, positive or negative, by next April 5th.
- Tickets can only be purchased via credit / debit cards, but only the successful applicants will receive the right instructions and the correct terms on how to proceed to the payment.
The ticket is strictly personal and in no resalable. As underlined by UEFA instructions, it is useless to create multiple accounts to increase the chances of being drawn. For all other requests and less important information we refer to the FAQ page, also in Spanish. Good luck!
