Werder Bremen stunning kit for club's 120th birthday
Umbro made an amazing mash-up jersey available in just 1899 copies
February 8th, 2019
That just passed was an unforgettable week for Werder Bremen: not only the qualification into the quarter-finals of the German Cup conquered on penalties against Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion, but also the celebrations for the 120 years of the club. And on the occasion of the party (a real rock concert!) staged on Thursday evening in front of over 2500 fans, a special shirt was presented, realized in collaboration with the technical sponsor, Umbro.

Worn for the first time by the local player Maximilian Eggestein, by the young American Josh Sargent and the immortal Claudio Pizarro, it's a mash-up jersey that mixes the club's past and present with various shades of green and different fabrics. In view also many famous mottos such as "Wagen a Winnen", "120 Jahre", "Werder", "1899", "Lebenslang grün-weiß", "Das W auf dem Trikot", written in a disordered and messy manner on the shirt. The Werder players will wear the particular kit during the Sunday home match against Augsburg, and the club has already put on sale the jerseys (produced in only 1899 copies for 119 euros): what a pity that the website is already crashed while the queue at the physical store of the club has become very long to make almost impossible the purchase of the precious gem.
