January 25th, 2019
Tonight the names of the Western and Eastern Starters, have been announced, who will compete in Charlotte for the NBA All-Star Game 2019 on 18 February. The Western Conference will be the Team Captain LeBron James (the most voted) and his side will have: Stephen Curry, James Harden, Kevin Durant and Paul George, while the Team Captain of Eastern will be Giannīs Antetokounmpo who will take the court along with Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Kawhi Leonard and Joel Embiid.
This year, Jordan Brand realized the jerseys inspired by the iconic of 1991, when the All-Star Weekend took place right in North Carolina.
Jordan Brand's vice president of design, David Creme, says:
“With the game being in Charlotte, we were presented with a great opportunity to look at the rich history of the city and its many connections to our brand. You see this come together with the 1991 inspiration combined with the clean black and white design language.”
For the graphics and color scheme of red, white and blue, Jordan Brand's designer team was inspired by the early 90's and Charlotte's All-Star Game in 1991. As a tribute to the Charlotte Hornets , franchise owned by "His Airness" Michael Jordan, the jerseys includes a logo inspired by 1991 at the waist and on the side, a honeycomb pattern integrated into the NBA logo.
The names of the players and the numbers will be in black and the stars in contrast on both sides.
