The new 'skin' of San Lorenzo
The South American club unveiled a special shirt inspired to his roots and his famous nickname
December 5th, 2018
Waiting for the return to the Copa Libertadores, the Argentine club of San Lorenzo de Almagro presented a shirt so beautiful that it left us speechless. This is the third kit, produced by Nike and nicknamed 'Piel de Cuervo', literally 'crow's skin'. The nickname of the San Lorenzo players is indeed 'Cuervos', chosen many years ago in honor of the dark robes of the Jesuit priests who founded the team in the early 1900s, including Lorenzo Serra.
The jersey is in fact entirely black and the design adopted wants to recall the particular plumage of the crows. San Lorenzo (the team of Buenos Aires for which the most famous supporters is Pope Francis) will wear it for the entire 2018/2019 season and for the first time ever next Saturday for the home match against Estudiantes. It's already on sale (even in installments!) on the official online store of San Lorenzo.
