Five football matches to watch this weekend
Top derbies in Premier League and tough games in Serie A
November 30th, 2018
Another week is done and a great football weekend awaits us: this time there is the embarrassment of choice and it is really due to prepare in advance a precise plan to choose all the matches to watch without risk of argue with your girlfriend who has already asked you to follow her to go and buy the first Christmas gifts. Trust us and you will get along!
Fiorentina-Juventus
when: Saturday 1/12 at 6pm
where: Stadio Artemio Franchi / Sky Sport
The second match of the gameweek (yes, even this time the Serie A starts at 3pm, so remember to insert your fantasy football lineup!) is that between Fiorentina and Juventus: an historic clash because of the fans, but above all a very long-awaited match by all the supporters that hate Juventus and hope for a defeat of the Serie A leader, to revive the league.
Arsenal-Tottenham
when: Sunday 2/12 at 3:05pm
where: Emirates Stadium / Sky Sport
The London club matches are countless (by the way, at 1pm there is Chelsea-Fulham) but nothing matters more than the North London derby, the game that paralyzes entire rival neighborhoods and fills the pubs easily. This time it will be played at Emirates and Arsenal comes from 18 consecutive positive results and never with so much confidence on them, but Tottenham is back from two brilliant wins against Chelsea and Inter. It's a match that promises to be very hot and that perhaps will force us to renounce the Serie A games scheduled at the same time.
Liverpool-Everton
when: Sunday 2/12 at 5:15pm
where: Anfield Road / Sky Sport
Without needing to move from the sofa and even without to change channels, on Sky Sports you can easily switch from the London derby to the Liverpool on, at Anfield. A match that is absolutely not to be taken for granted even if the Reds are from another category, at least on theory. An interesting opportunity to enjoy the duels between Van Dijk and Richarlison and between Yerry Mina and Salah, and with a splendid public fans frame.
Besiktas-Galatasaray
when: Sunday 2/2 at 6pm
where: Vodafone Arena / the best streaming channel that you find online
If the Merseyside derby is too simple for your tastes, then nothing will be more appropriate than a fiery Bosphorus derby between Besiktas and Galatasaray: it's not Fener-Gala, but be content. For both clubs, coming from European matches, it could be the last call for the title ambitions, because in the meanwhile the other Istanbul team, Basaksehir, is in first place and seems to have already run away. For the most nostalgic: there will be on the pitch random quality players like Quaresma, Ljajic, Feghouli and Belhanda.
Atalanta-Napoli
when: Monday 3/12 at 8:30pm
where: Atleti Azzurri d'Italia / Sky Sport
For the umpteenth time Napoli will play after Juventus, host by Atalanta in the last match of the week that could say a lot for the fate of the Italian championship. It is true that the Ancelotti boys, who have come from the efforts of the Champions League, seem to be able to manage the double commitments, but it is equally true that recently the Neroazzurri have repeatedly stopped the Neapolitans ambitions. This year's Atalanta is unpredictable: strong with big teams and weak with small ones: one more reason to believe this match is absolutely open. And then, what do you have to do on Monday evening?
