The NBA does not like J.R. Smith's Supreme tattoo
J.R. risks a fine for every game played with the box logo in full display
October 1st, 2018
Those who follow the NBA know very well what the personality of J.R. Smith is and above all know his excesses outside and on the court. During this off season, J.R. decided to get a tattoo of the Supreme box logo on the right calf. Obviously we avoid commenting on the choice that we define at least questionable, the fact is that there is an NBA rule that prohibits players to show commercial logos on their bodies or in their hair.
The number 5 of the Cleveland Cavaliers, however, let known his opinion through his Instagram account, after he was told that he would be fined for every game played without covering the tattoo in question.
"I swear I’m the only person they do shit like this to! So you mean to tell me i have to cover up my tattoo for what? You don’t make people cover up Jordan logos NIKE checks or anything else but because it’s me it’s a problem all of a sudden!!! Shit whack
These were the calm words with which J.R. wanted to further comment on the choice of the NBA, which by the way is not final yet, it seems we are looking for a compromise between the parties. As we know the league is very attentive to the issues of advertising and marketing during the games. Only recently, for example, the NBA has changed its rules on shoe colors to give players more freedom in this regard.
