The new Padova jersey is dedicated to Palermo Calcio
A black and pink shirt as a tribute to the 30-year-long friendship between the two clubs

The name of a team on another's shirt? This is what happened in Padova, where the newly promoted team in Italian Serie B has just launched its third kit, dedicated to the historic friendship with Palermo Calcio. Yes, you got it right, a black uniform with pink inserts to pay homage to the connection with the Sicilian team that has been going on since 1983. The two teams, moreover, will be rivals in the league and therefore will have occasion to meet very soon. The new jersey made by Kappa was worn exclusively by defender Daniel Cappelletti, protagonist of the promotional video filmed in the Venetian city.
In addition to Palermo, the idea of using pink was also thought for female fans, as stated by the vice president of Padova Calcio, Edoardo Bonetto: "We know that for thirty years now there has been a strong link between our fans and those of Palermo, and with Kappa we decided to pay tribute to it, often talking about football as a reason for rivalry and opposition, but football creates also brotherhood and sharing, even between two very different cities like ours. It's a positive value to be emphasized and this shirt will testify this every time we go on the field wearing it. The combination of black and pink has also allowed us to create a shirt that will pay tribute to all our female fans who are a key part of Paduan support, perhaps still numerically inferior compared to males, but certainly not in terms of passion."
