Welcoming the Club Internacional De Futbol Miami

It's been seven months since David Beckham, fulfilling a dream he had had since his first match as a pro player, has officially announced the foundation of the second football team in the history of the city of Miami. After the adventure with Miami Fusion, which came to an end almost twenty years ago, the Spice Boy managed to bring an MLS team back to the south of Florida, and today we can officially announce the name of the club: Club Internacional De Futbol Miami. 

Through its social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube - the new Miami club has introduced its official crest, which seems inspired by the Manchester City's one. The logo features: 

- A circular base, that represents the inclusive spirit of the club and of the city. 

- A shield, symbol of strength and solidarity. 

- The symbol of the solar eclipse, which represents the determination of Miami's people, who are willing to work day and night to fulfill their dreams. The sun has seven rays, an homage to the legendary number of David Beckham and to the seven seas from which came all the inhabitants of the city. 

- Two herons, symbol of freedom. The Big Blue Heron can be found along the migration route from the southern coast of Alaska to the beaches of Brazil, but its permanent home is in Miami. According to the mythology, the heron is a symbol of power, protection, and patience. 

"Today is a big day, I'm full of pride for me and my whole team" these the words of David Beckham. "It's an honor to be announcing the name and the crest of the club, and we're taking another step in the history of the club. Today is a historic day for the Internacional Club de Fútbol Miami." Now the only thing missing is a stadium, the new MLS team has to find a home before the building of the 25 thousands seats facility called "Miami Freedom Park" is completed.
