We talked about it yesterday, with the appearing of some murals with feline footmarks around Naples and a date circled in red: July 18, 2018. Well, that moment has now come and we can finally watch for the first time Napoli’s new home kit, other than the goalkeepers one, both realized by Italian brand Kappa. For the 2018/2019 season, Kappa’s research and development center teamed up with the Partinopean club to improve even more the Kombat kit, that will take advantage of ultra-light fabrics and nylon stitching to give even more elasticity, breathability, and comfort to the Azzurri footballers.
The guerrilla marketing campaign happened through the streets of Naples is shown on the aesthetic of the jersey, with a geometric pattern that represents the face of a roaring panther, that is also the protagonist fo the launch video of the new kit. The Kombat kit keeps its classic lines, with an ergonomic cut and sticking fit. The necklace gives a classy touch to the Napoli shirt that, as we said, inspired its graphic to the animal world. The club and Kappa’s logos, alongside the sponsors, complete the front side of the jersey, while on both sides there’s a vertical repetition of the Kappa logo.
The goalkeeper kit is also very interesting, as it’s inspired by the scaly skin of a snake. The main color, in fact, is green, with a black pattern and scaly design on the front part. On the back, the kit features the same pattern, with the addition of the snakehead. A second goalkeeper kit, that features the same aesthetic details, will be made in orange.
