James' new Lakers jerseys is a best seller in... Cleveland
Looks like Cavs fan are still loyal to the King, even if he's no longer theirs

It’s been more or less 48 hours since when LeBron James shook the entire NBA for the third time in his career by announcing his will to become a Los Angeles Lakers player. A four-year $154 million dollar deal for LBJ, which strategic move will shake more economic balances than the simple counting of Lakers’ salary cap. For example, it just took about 40 minutes to the Chosen One to start shattering the LA jersey market.
According to reports from ESPN, the American retailer Fanatics has recorded one of the ten best days in terms of sales in the 24 hours after LeBron’s announcement. The preorders for James’ number 23, he’s going to keep the number used in Cleveland, have literally skyrocketed, marking a +600% in sales compared to when the Chosen One announced his return to Cleveland back in 2014. And if that was quite predictable for the difference in Cleveland and Los Angeles’ markets, nobody would expect James’ new Lakers jerseys to be best sellers in… Cleveland.

In fact, “The Mistake on the Lake” has been one of the four cities with the highest number of preorders for LeBron’s uniforms, alongside with New York, San Francisco and, of course, Los Angeles. It looks like Cavs fans didn’t mind to buy James’ jersey, even another team’s one. A very different situation than last time LeBron left Cleveland.
