On May 2, 1975, in Leytonstone - in north-east London - David Beckham was born and today, 43 years later, we’re here talking about one of the footballers that more left a mark in the history of football. He did it with its game, its ‘bend it like Beckham’, his lifestyle, his being able to reinvent himself, and - maybe above all - with his being first of all a great player of football.
And even if David Beckham is way more than a footballer, we decided to gather 43 photos - one for every year of the Spice Boy - to tell the incredible career (and life) lived by the ‘captain’ of English football. Someone that, even having been called fashion victim, Spice Boy and trendsetter, has been able to play 827 games, scoring 114 goals and giving 169 assists. Not bad for a guy only interested in fashion and haircuts.
