Censorship is a controversial element of television in itself, especially in countries like Italy where there’s much caution - maybe too much - on hiding elements that can be considered ‘sensible’. The new brought today by BBC, though, outshines also the censors of our country and also has an Italian football team as the protagonist. Some spectators of the third Iranian tv channel, in fact, noticed that during the first game of the Champions League quarter-finals the Asian television decided to blur the breast of the Capitoline Wolf from the Roma crest.

As we all know, the Roma crest represents the myth of the foundation of Rome, with Romulus and Remus being suckled by the Capitoline Wolf. The image, though, must have been too much ‘steamy’ for the Iranian tv, that decided to blur the nipples of the legendary animal. Luckily, Roma wasn’t too upset about it and it published one of the social networks’ hot memes on its English Twitter profile.

For sure, it’s a curious fact, that should probably be analyzed deeper but that we want to consider just as one of the many odd things that we see in football every now and then.
