Arsenal signed a new five-year deal with Emirates
The new agreement is the most profitable in Gunners' history, and will also allow them to seek a sleeve sponsor

At Arsenal, people are getting really busy in guaranteeing the London-based club a solid future. They’re doing it through the transfer market with the arrival of players like Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang, through the (possible) change of manager after the over-vicennial run by Arsene Wenger, and also through new economic agreements that will allow the Gunners to compete with giants like United, City, and Chelsea. And the news has arrived about this very matter, as Arsenal just signed a new, massive deal with Emirates.
The airline company and Arsenal have just announced the five-year extension of their agreement, that will now last until the 2023/24 season. It’s the longest standing sponsor partnership in the Premier League, as well as the most profitable in the history of the Gunners. Emirates, in fact, will pay up to £40 million per season, for a total of £200M, to put its name on Arsenal’s game and training kits. The Emirate company, in addition, still holds the stadium naming rights until 2021. But it’s not over.

The new agreement also foresees the possibility for Arsenal to seek another sponsorship deal for the left sleeve of the game kit. If the right one is occupied by the Premier League patch as provided by the regulations, some other teams are already occupying the left sleeve with a sponsor patch, guaranteeing themselves with some extra earnings. For example, Manchester City (Nexen Tire) and Chelsea (Alliance Tyres) both earns an extra £8 million per season for that sleeve patch. So, it’s a big deal for Arsenal, that will help the club to close the gap with the rivals that leave it behind too often.
