Nike presents the Tiempo Legend 7

As we expected, after teasing us with the “Platinum Black” limited edition, Nike has revealed its new series of the Nike Tiempo Legend, the seventh of the simplest shoe from an aesthetic point of view, which according to Nike will guarantee a better fit, better comfort and a 22% reduction of the weight. In fact, the Flyknit is an integral part of the new Tiempo and encases Flywire cables that can be adjusted as preferences. Being flexible and structured, the Flyknit guarantees a better cover of the foot and maintains the shoe with its shape.

To avoid an overextension of the leather, in fact, Nike ideated the new Fit-Mesh technology, that makes its debut on the new Tiempo Legend 7. “Fit-Mesh is woven to act like a Chinese finger trap. The more pressure you apply, the tighter it holds”, said Vianney de Montgolfier, designer for Nike Football. “It is a floating lining attached to the raised bit line of the boot, not the leather. It helps contain the foot so the leather doesn’t have to”.

Thanks to the stability provided by Fit-Mesh technology, Nike could afford to use a soft, seamless leather throughout the forefoot, providing the ball control with pure leather, fused with a thin foam that provides the touch and control benefits of quilting without perforation. At the same time, the new Nike Hyperstability plate allowed a series of multi-directional movements and lightens the shoe, presenting a mix of jagged conicals studs, chevrons, and blades.

Finally, the new look of the Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is completed by a modernized logo and a black/orange coloration, with white Swoosh and yellow details. The Nike Tiempo Legend 7 will be available from July 10th on nike.com.
