Every club in Liga will wear the same number (and name) font on their jerseys
The decision will pone the brand in front of a difficult choice
April 29th, 2017
Liga always lived on a strong dualism that last for 20 years. Since when Barcelona enters in competition with Real Madrid, the war manifested in different ways: from the conquer of national titles until the winning of the Champions League; without forgetting the “guerrilla” alimented from the "independentist" idea of Catalonia.
Why buying Bale or Neymar? James Rodriguez or Suarez? Those are champions, of course. But why trying to set up the level every years?
Real Madrid during the 00s used to buy exceptional players every summer, not because this was functional to the team at all, but simply because with the selling of a Figo shirt, you were able to pay half of your employees.
Spanish Federation took a decision for the next year that will pone everyone on the same level, at least under the aesthetics point of view. The choice to impose a unique font for the jerseys every team in the league will have two principal consequences: the attention will be more on the jersey structure than on the rest, and the brand could think about producing two different jersey for the European games.
