Nike presented the new KOBE A.D. NXT
This new pair of Bryant-branded sneakers are equipped with a revolutionary lacing system
March 30th, 2017
Until he played on all NBA parquets, Kobe Bryant only had one goal as an athlete, to be as competitive as he could - and possibly winning. Now that he has stopped with professional basketball, the Black Mamba is focusing on helping his former coworkers to improve their performances on the field, trying to reach the highest level of sports gear.
To do that, Kobe is obviously collaborating with Nike - his historical partner - and in particular with Eric Avar, footwear designer and collaborator of Beaverton’s company, which Bryant developed the new KOBE A.D. NXT with. With those sneakers, former Lakers’ number 24 wanted to revolutionize the classic silhouette of basketball shoes, by creating a low-profile, highly responsive sneaker, with a brand new lacing system. To do that, Avar and Bryant has integrated the laces directly in the Flyknit upper, creating a system that fits perfectly with the feet, granting a massive comfort and perfect grip.
The symmetry and harmony of the new NIKE KOBE A.D. NXT are in line with Black Mamba’s branded shoes’ design, that are ready to become once more a milestone for the best players in the world. The KOBE A.D. NXT releases globally on April 3 in both gray and volt colorways, with limited availability in North America on April 1.
