#FacciamoLoStadio In Italy we have a problem with stadiums. It's now time to solve it

This is an old, long-standing matter that comes back on the apron every time someone mentions it: the Italian football has a problem with stadiums. Old, crumbling, under equipped and, most of all, not of clubs’ private property. If you exclude Sassuolo, Udinese, Frosinone and - of course - Juventus, no other Serie A club has an own stadium and this comes with a series of matters, not last the effect on incomes and the possibility to bonding its name to a successful brand. Something that Juventus started to do, with results.

Now, the debate is open once again.

A few time back, in fact, the new Roma’s Stadium project was presented, but last week the city hall opinion was negative. According to the city council, there were different issues, like some environmental matters related to the selected area. Next March 3rd, during the Services’ Conference, the final response will be given.

The date is coming closer then, a very important day for the city of Rome and all Italian football. During the weekend, Roma’s coach Luciano Spalletti interrupted a Sky Sport’s reporter to raise awareness about the matter. He did it his own way, highlighting the importance of the matter for the Italian movement. He ended his speech with the perfect slogan, ready to become a hashtag: #FamoStoStadio (Let’s make this stadium, in Roman dialect). And, in fact, it became viral: in a few hours, the #famostostadio hashtag has become trend topic on Twitter, raised up in any part of the world with Roma’s fans.

We gathered all the best tweets on the matter and we commit to coming back on this matter in the next few days. Stadiums are such an important part of football, the place where all the magic happens and where football becomes the best sports in the world. #FacciamoLoStadio (#LetsMakeTheStadium) becomes so an absolute priority.
