When we received the news we couldn’t believe it. I think we realized everything only once we sat on the taxi directed to the airport.
On Friday June 12nd we went to Paris with a press crew composed by the editors of magazines like Gazzetta.it, RivistaNBA and Rolling Stone. We first went to Palais de Tokyo, which for the occasion became the Palais Jordan. They took us in a basket area where they projected the logo for the 30 years of Jordan brand.
Then the conference started. After the speeches of
Mark Smith and
Tinker Hatfield,
Michael Jordan in person made his entrance. It was amazing to hear him speak. He spread an incredible energy in the air.
After the conference, we are led in a room to turn a video-interview about what Jordan means to us.
At night we joined the party at Yo-Yo Club, where the cocktails had been nominated with the names of the most representative matches of Jordan.
The day after at 9 AM we are brought to a Jordan Court, where they explain us the technologies of the new Jordan XXIX and some fundaments of basketball. Then we can play ourselves along with the teams of other international magazines.
I understood Paris was really the right city to host this kind of event. We loved this trip and we’ll never forget.
