Melbourne Fashion Week SS20

Melbourne may not be classified under the Big 4 cities when it comes to fashion, but after a week down-under, it is fair to say they might not be far off. This city, and Australia, in general, is more known to have a laid-back culture so we were surprised to see the quantity of luxury thrown in-between the comfortable element of streetwear. 

With the growing awareness of sustainability in the fashion industry, it was exciting to see vintage items obtain equal class amongst the best such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, and Prada. It shows that also down-under, anything goes. From bucket hats and babushka scarves on top to Balenciaga platform Crocs and Air Jordan 1’s below. In-between the Aussies are representing cross over bum bags, graphic prints, and PVC. There is definitely a strong hip-hop/lux scene somewhat evolving over here and we cannot wait to see what else there is to offer next season.
